Roulette bet rules are one of the most essential things for each player who wants to understand the game and not to place the bets blindly. For those who see the roulette table for the first time all the bets and the table layout may seem too confusing. However, as soon as you take a closer look at the explanation of each of the roulette bet you will see how easy they are in reality.

1.) Straight Bet - the bet in which the chips are put on any of the 38 numbers. These bets offer the highest odds 35:1 in case of a win. When you place the straight roulette bet the chips are to be placed right inside of the square not to be confused with another bets.

2.) Split or Two number Bet - this roulette bet is on two numbers. The chips are to be placed on a line between two neighboring numbers. The odds for this roulette bet are 17:1.

3.) Street or Three number Bet - this roulette bet allows the player to bet on one row of the roulette table. The bet is performed by placing the chips on the outside line of the chosen row. Odds for this bet are 11:1.

4.) Corner Bet - the roulette bet that covers four numbers. In order to make this bet you are to place your chips on the corner that joins all the four numbers you want to bet on. Odds are 8:1.

5.) Five Number Bet - this bet is the only one which can cover 5 same numbers every time. The numbers are 0, 00 1, 2 and 3. The player that wins gets paid odds.

6.) Six Number Bet - the roulette bet that covers two rows each of which has 3 numbers. The odds for this bet are 5:1.

7.) Any Red or Black Bet - this roulette bet is on the color of the number. The chips are to be placed on red or black signs on the table field. Odds for this bet are 1:1.

8.) Any Low or High Number Bet - the aim of this roulette bet is to cover the numbers of one of the two groups. According to the roulette rules, the numbers are divided into two groups, the low (1-18) and high (19-36) ones. In this case if the ball lands on 0 or 00 the player loses. The odds for this bet are 1:1.

9.) Any Even or Odd Bet - the bet on that the number will be odd or even. The odds for this roulette bet are 1:1.

10.) Dozen Bet - the bet on one of the three dozens of the table. All the players that win with this bet get paid off 2:1.

11.) Column Bets - this bet covers the numbers in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd columns of the roulette table. Each column contains 12 numbers and the odds are 2:1.
